Chapter provides members with access to the services referred to here as well as
the full range of membership services provided by The Financial Advisors Association of Canada
(Advocis).

Professional Development
Members of Advocis
Greater Niagara have
access to professional development programs that include basic training courses such as
the Insurance & Financial Advisors Training Course (IFATC) as well as courses leading
to the titles and designations: Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Chartered Life
Underwriter (CLU), Chartered Financial Consultant (CH.F.C.), Registered health Underwriter
(RHU), and Registered Employee Benefits Consultant (REBC). In addition courses are
available for a number of other special interest areas such as the Segregated Funds Course.

Public Awareness
The members of the Greater
Niagara Chapter,
through the public awareness program, maintain regular contact with Federal and Provincial
elected representatives. These contacts ensure that new legislative initiatives are
structured in such a manner that they do not adversely affect the consumers that are

Community Programs
Such As Cystic Fibrosis
The Greater
Niagara Chapter raised over $20,000 for Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Nancy Clayton, Vice-President of the Canadian Cystic fibrosis Foundation
thanked the
Greater Niagara Chapter for its generous donation and acknowledged that
the funds raised will help children and young adults with CF to live
longer and healthier lives.
