Hydro-ElectricMr. Ellis has extensive experience in the engineering consulting and contracting business. He has recently completed an assignment providing Consulting Engineering Services for the Government of Barbados on the Feasibility Studies on Coastal Conservation in Barbados, West Indies, involving a Coastal Engineering, Terrestrial Water Quality, Environmental / EIA, and Socio-Economic Programmes and a Coastal Zone Management plan.
He is a Designated Consulting Engineer in the province of Ontario, Canada.
He has worked both as a contractor and as a consultant on a variety of international engineering projects ranging in size from the large Jeddah Ship Repair Yard Facility ($500 Million) to high profile studies for the Government of Barbados, Transport Canada and Public Works Canada.
As well as working on Coastal, Marine, Heavy Civil and Environmental Engineering projects in Barbados, U.K. and Canada, he has experience of working in the Middle East, having spent 3 years in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Mr. Ellis has been directly responsible for quality assurance, business and contract administration, business development and general office management in the various countries in which he has worked. He holds a current Canadian pilots licence and is a qualified SCUBA diver. He is an active cyclist in the Niagara Region and was the 1973 British National Cycling Road Race Champion. He represented Great Britain in the 1973 world cycling championships in Munich.
