Neurological Health Charities Canada has produced a video to promote a collective vision of a national brain strategy at NO COST to our coalition! Please view the following link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QmHMlBpQe1Q
Then invite others to check out their website: www.mybrainmatters.ca and join their effort to advocate for a national brain injury strategy and also link directly to other NHCC member organizations.

The Ontario Neurotrauma Foundation funds research in Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) and Spinal Cord Injury (SCI).  One of their challenges is to make sure that they are funding research that will make a difference to people living with the effects of ABI or SCI.  In an attempt to make sure that the research dollars are spent on research that matters, they have enlisted survivors and caregivers to sit on the Board of Directors and on all of the Board’s committees.  The second challenge is to make sure that the results of the research projects get to the people with ABI and SCI.  To do that they have started a newsletter called Neuro Matters which will be published quarterly.  This newsletter is free either on-line or by mail to any of your members simply by contacting the ONF at 416-422-2228.
