A manor-style resort overlooking Passamaquoddy Bay and the town of St. Andrews. The Algonquin is 70 miles from Saint John Airport and 150 miles to the railway. It was the 1991 Canadian Travel and Tourism "Resort of the Year".A picturesque seaside resort, the Algonquin is recognized as the leading resort in all of Atlantic Canada. It features pleasant surroundings and magnificent sea views. The new wing opened in June of 1993. These rooms only, have air-conditioning. The main hotel is not air conditioned: however, all rooms have fully operational windows and ceiling fans.

    From Saint John airport to the Algonquin...Driving Directions: Take HWY #1 from airport, 50 miles to St. Andrews exit, take HWY #127. Follow 127 to town, turn left on Reed Ave, another left onto Harriet Street, and then turn right on Prince of Wales Street. Driving Directions: From Airport take Route 3 to JCT. HWY #127. Follow 127 to town, turn left on Reed Ave, left onto Harriet Street, and then turn right on Prince of Wales. Take HWY 1 WEST 60 miles to HWY 127 South. Take HWY 127 South for 10 miles into the town of St Andrews. HWY 127 ends on Reed Avenue. Turn RIGHT on Reed Avenue. Take Reed past hotel golf course. Turn LEFT at the first intersection onto Harriet Street. Follow for 2 blocks then turn RIGHT onto Prince of Wales Street. Hotel will be on your RIGHT. St. Andrews is just a thirty minute drive from the border crossing between Calais, Maine and St. Stephen, New Brunswick. From Route 1 between St. Stephen and Saint John, take either of the clearly marked exits onto Route 127. Access Route 9 from Bangor, Maine or route 1 from Bar Harbour, Maine to Calais, Maine.
