STEP 1	Determine the text and graphics that are necessary to convey your message. (Remember: Keep It Simple! and Less Is More when it comes to sign layout!)				Type out your layout in MSWord or WordPerfect. Draw a box to show where a graphic or logo should go. 1) All lettering should be minimum 3/8” high, expanded font by 1pt. (under format/font) 2) Allow for 1” on all sides of text for border of plaque.
STEP 2	1) Choose border style from below				(We Suggest Single Line Bevel-Very Classic)
STEP 3	1) Choose Background Texture from below				(We suggest leatherette as a standard)
STEP 4	1) Choose the color of the background from below samples.				Custom Colors are available, call the foundry for quote.
STEP 5	1) How would you like it mounted? See the options below.				If you are concerned about security where it is to be mounted, we suggest Blind Mounting.
	If you wish to mount your plaque from the front, do you wish cast covers (rosettes) for the bolt heads?				See the selection of rosettes below.
STEP 6	What material would you like the plaque cast in?
	BRONZE (88% Copper, 10% Tin, 2% Lead)				1) Very durable for outdoor conditions 2) Rich copper look to letters 3) Lifetime alloy 4) Easily refinished/restored in the next century by your great grandchildren.
	ALUMINIUM (Aluminium Alloy # C-443.2)				1) Lighter weight material for handling. 2) Excellent holding properties for paint finishes. 3) 100% rust proof. 4) Background and letters can be painted any color you require.
	YELLOW BRASS (72% Copper, 3% Lead, 1% Tin, 24% Zinc)				1) Rich and magnificent appearance. 2) Can be lacquered for outdoor applications. 3) Ideally suited for indoor presentations where the high mirror polish can be highlighted.
STEP 7	What size?				Put a 1, 2 +3 next to these priorities to determine size. *) The place it is to be mounted to has already determined the size. *) The amount of text and graphics can not be changed, therefore these affect the minimum size the plaque will be. *) Our budget for this plaque is $XXX, therefore how much sign can we get for these dollars?
STEP 8	Contact the Foundry				We will help you put the finishing touches on your project and co-ordinate a completion date, artwork proof, etc… It normally takes about 28 working days (M-F) from the time the signed artwork and prepaid order is received to when the plaque is ready for shipping or pickup.
QUOTE	We quote in writing usually with 24 hours of receiving your sketch and specifications.				If questions are left unanswered or unaddressed, finishing the quote could be delayed. HELP US HELP YOU!
	THIS IS GREAT, BUT……… WE ARE IN A RUSH!				Yes, we can help….. 1) There may be a lot of decisions to be made quickly to affect a quick production. 2) Overtime and Rush charges can add up to 100% to the regular cost of a plaque, but we have successfully (Each-Time, we might add!) met clients last minute needs! 3) Call us as soon as possible, have a day and an evening phone number available as well as e-mail and a fax.
