Rob MacLachlan, Owner/Operator
Rob is a sailing aficionado. His expertise in servicing, rigging, commissioning and repairing sailboats is only matched by his love of the sport. Upon graduating from Humber College's Yachting Studies Program, Rob has been involved in all aspects of sailing life; from cruising, racing and instruction to fixing, repairing and delivery of all makes and models of sailing yachts. Prior to opening South Shore Yachts, he held various positions at C&C Yachts in Niagara-on-the-Lake including, sales manager, service & warranty manager, special events coordinator, South Pacific representative, consultant and lineworker. Rob brings more than 30 years of experience in all aspects of sailboat construction, repair, maintenance, installation and sales into the business. He has expanded the business from its origins as specialists in C&C parts and information to include commissioning new boats, Navtec Distribution and Service Centre and Bavaria and Contest Yachts Agent.
Cody Montgomery
Cody is the newest addition to the South Shore Yachts service team. His youthful demeanour belies his technical skills, rigging and hydraulic knowledge and installation experience. Cody began sailing with his grandfather who still comes out on the water to cheer his grandson on at regattas. Cody crews on a J109 and races his own J22, cruises in the Carribean, takes race instruction on the west coast and assists in the delivery of yachts. Cody truly eats, lives and breathes sailing. We're thrilled he's chosen to apply his mechanical background, love of sailing, desire to learn, conscientious and considerable technical ability and knowledge to providing exemplary service to South Shore Yacht customers.
