Shihan Forrester founded the Canadian Jiu-Jitsu Association in 1963, and was the President until his retirement in 1992. After a short lived retirement Shihan Forrester founded the Canadian Jiu-Jitsu Council
(For more information download application form). Shihan Forrester currently holds a 9th degree Black Belt.Shihan Forrester has also achieved recognition for Jiu-Jitsu by the Canadian Government. He has standardized the Art, as well as, brought the art in tune with Canadian athletic coaching and safety requirements. It was his coaching that brought home four World Jiu-Jitsu Championships. Shihan Forrester was the first Chairman of the World Council of Jiu-Jitsu Organizations.
