This is a brief biography of the instructors:
- Dave Platakis
- Dave holds the rank of Yodan and has over 21 years of experience in the Martial
Art of Jiu-Jitsu. Dave also has experience in the Martial Arts of Aikido and Kempo. He
holds level 1 & 2 coaching theory from the National Coaching Certification Program.
Dave has over 10 years of teaching experience at the high school and college levels. He is
the editor and publisher of the Martial Arts Niagara newsletter. Dave is affiliated
with the Canadian Jiu-Jitsu Council and the World Kobudo Federation. Dave also has
certification in CPR and First Aid Plus.
