Here's a little experiment you can try the next time you are in the company of the politically correct. Try saying something like "I think this country would be better if there was less non-white immigration". Then stand back and watch the fireworks.
At one time, that statement would have merely been an opinion, a point of discussion. Maybe it's true, maybe it isn't. Not any longer. Now, anyone who dares say such a thing is evil. The politically correct will not debate the merits of your statement. They will only debate weather you are fit to live.
We have reached the point in this country where there is only one acceptable position on a variety of topics. Any one who varies from the accepted position will immediately be branded a fascist. Merely to suggest that it is acceptable to hold such an opinion (even if you don't believe it yourself) will still earn you the label. Get together with a couple of your friends that feel the same way, and you're a hate group.
Freedom of thought, freedom of belief, freedom of expression are rapidly in danger of becoming extinct in this country. There is developing in this country an "Orthodoxy of Thought", one correct belief, Anything else is not tolerated. Sure, you're free to believe: believe what the forces of political correctness tell you to believe. If you don't believe me, try it some time, the effect will astound you.
