Salmon Arm Coalition Against Racism:
A Classic Communist Front Organization

Suppose that you are an ideaistic, impressionable youth living in or near Salmon Arm British Columbia. You quite rightly believe that racism is wrong, that it is a repugnant concept that has no place in 21st Century Canada. You look about for some organization that shares your views, that will offer an outlet, a constructive channel for you desires to make canada a better place. You might hear about the Salmon Arm Coalition Against Racism.

You will attend a meeting and come into contact with the founder of the group, one David Lethbridge. He will be quite happy to take you under his tutelege. At some point after aquainting you with the important work his group does in making Canada safe from racism he will find it necessary to explain the deeper strugle. According to Mr Lethbridge, racism is the effect of a much bigger, much more sinister problem. According to Mr Lethbridge, the only way to truly combat racism is to attack the root cause of racism. Only by destroying the cause of racism can racism itself be eliminated.

"What is the root cause of racism" you ask?

According to Mr Lethbridge, the root cause of racism is

Capitalism itself.

From Mr Lethbridge's own website:

"The struggle against fascism, and its organized racist core, is at the same time a revolutionary struggle against capitalism itself"

"Capitalism breeds racism and fascism the way a fly breeds maggots"

Thus, if you truly wish to fight racism, you will be told that you must fight capitalism itself. You must attack the very foundations of our society

And what is this ideology that attacks and opposes capitalism?

Communism

We suggest that Mr Lethbridge has as his primary concern and motivation, NOT racism, but instead the promotion of communism with its attendant destruction of Canada's entire way of life.

We suggest the entire purpose of Mr Lethbridge's noble sounding group is to entice and decieve people into supporting his sick vision for the future of Canada.

Communism has resulted in the deaths of over 100 million people since its inception, Mr Lethbridge as a supporter of this evil concept must share responsibility. we have to wonder how many Canadian deaths would Mr Lethbridge consider acceptable in creating his communist Canada

Anyone considering joining The Salmon Arm Coalition against Racism must consider the ultimate motive of its founder. Parents, if you are reading this, you must consider that your children are not involved with a man who's primary motivation is not in making Canada a better place, it is a man whos primary motivation is the destruction of our entire culture and way of life.

Anyone that values their individualism and freedom MUST send a message to Comrade Lethbridge. He must be told that Canadians do not want his sick twisted views for our future in our great country. There is no place in Canada for the degerate pro-communist views promoted by Comrade Lethbridge and other fellow travellers.

In conclusion, one must assume that the Salmon Arm Coalition Against Racism is nothing but a front group to promote world wide communism.

I contacted Mr Lethbridge some time ago to tell him his pro-commie website would be on my commie watch page. The resulting exchange was quite amusing. Mr Lethbridge is quite famous for calling anyone that opposes him a nazi, and of course, all of his enemies call him a commie, but in this case it is true, Mr Lethbridge IS a communist pure and simple.

Dear K. Bowden,
I don't know why you should be surprised that there would be communists in the anti-racism network. If you had any knowledge of history, you would know that communists have been in the forefront of anti-racist struggles for decades in North America. It is a proud history.

On the other hand, it would be an error to imagine that communists were the major force in anti-racist work, or that the anti-racist networks had been "over run" by communists. There are individuals and organizations of many political persuasions in this work.

What does surprise me is the length of time it has taken you to make your great discovery of our webpage. Have you actually read any of the articles on our Documents page? You should, you know, because you might learn a thing or two. You might also turn your hand to grammar and spelling once you have mastered the basics of reading. There must be a community college of some type in your neighborhood. After taking basic English - where you may learn that heavy sarcasm can never take the place of true wit - you might advance to a few courses in History and Political theory. It really never is too late to stop being a fascist. It leads nowhere and is a waste of life.

I went to your page today - not for the first time - and discovered that you claim that I chase "grants," or something of the kind. That old lie has been trailing around the fascist networks, where I'm sure you got it, for years. The truth is, I got one grant for a small $3000 five or six years ago to pay for the travel expenses for an anti-racist seminar. That was the one and only time. You should try doing some actual research before spreading the usual old lies.

If you had half the guts of any of your imagined enemies, you would sign your whole and real name.

The $3000 was for travel expenses of anti-racists who were not communists to attend a forum on racism where no communist discourse occurred at all. Feel better? Stop being so damned silly. Racism and fascism are real and major problems in the world. So are capitalism and imperialism. It really is possible to build a better world, you know. But all I see at your website is bitterness and vile, ugly lies that you have bought wholesale from others. This grant business proves the point. Don't you think I know that Fromm, and Zundel, and Pressler, and Collins, and all the rest of them have been spreading the lie that I chase grants and get all kinds of grants for years? the real and major problem in the world is COMMUNISM, and YOU are not part of the problem... you ARE the problem.... How can you live with yourself, promoting an ideology that has caused the deaths of over 150 million people around the world.
