Applewood Hollow occupies a "corner" of what was originally part of a 200 acre parcel called Palatine Hill. Originaly settled by Daniel Servos in the late 1780's it was a bustling commercial center providing both saw and grist mills ,an Imperial government store and native trading post, tannery and potashery. The original structure of our home was built in fall,1997 and the "coach house" constructed in spring of 2001. The name Applewood Hollow was inspired by an ancient apple tree located in the forest which has survived floods, a lightning strike and the incredible storm which visited our neighbourhood in May 2000.
